So how to fly to Hanoi? Should I go to Hanoi by train or airplane?

These are some my tips and advices for you if you want to visit Hanoi from Saigon:

I think you should go to Hanoi by airplane and this is the fastest way to be present in Hanoi. You can choose some airlines like Vietnam Airlines, Jeststar Pacific Airlines, VietJetAir... In them, Jeststar is the low-cost carrier and Vietnam Airlines is the national airline with better service quality, but the prices on air tickets are more expensive than.

To fly to Hanoi from Saigon, you go to Ho Chi Minh Airport (or called Tan Son Nhat Airport) and every day there are many flights from Saigon airport to Hanoi airport. Only after approximately 1 hour 45 minutes, you will be at the airport in Hanoi.

If you do not go to Hanoi by airplanes, you can leave Ho Chi Minh city by train to go to Hanoi. At Saigon station is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh city, you can buy a sleeper train ticket in a roadmap of Saigon - Hanoi. After 2-3 days, you will arrive in Hanoi, also located in the center of Hanoi, about 1,5km from Hanoi Old Quarter.

You also should know that Hanoi weather is not like the weather in Saigon. If you go to Vietnam in Febuary or March, the weather in Hochiminh City is so hot but Hanoi weather is too cold.
