Yes, Hanoi is a small and mystery capital city that located next to the Red River in northern Vietnam. Hanoi as well as Vietnam has undergone several feudal dynasties, with many beautiful buildings have been constructed.

But the time, history and wars... have blurred many things. Many buildings have been collapsed and dismantled. You may see this if you visiting Imperial Citadel of Thang Long in the center of Hanoi, a place is located near the Old Quarter and Ho Chi Minh mausoleum.

But really lucky, the history still retains for our Hanoi a heritage, a unique architectural ensemble, a beautiful sacred place, which is Hanoi Temple of Literature (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam).

If you go all over Hanoi, you will not be able to find anywhere which has still retained a large architectural construction, but also still the integrity of the architecture and materials as here.

Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam twofold: Literature is a place to worship Confucius. And Quoc Tu Giam, it is a ancient name, used to call the name of a university, which hosts major competitions in feudal times in Vietnam.

It was the first university in Vietnam.

Maybe for you, it is not a monumental work as the great works in Japan, China ... but for Hanoi Vietnam, it is a heritage and a gift of time.
