For me, the most specially impressive of Sapa which is highland villages, terraced valleys, the Hmong's costumes and special weather here. We often say, Sa Pa is a place with four seasons full of fog.
I think perhaps you like it for its.
Formerly, when had not got the Noi Bai - Laocai Highway, we often go to Lao Cai and Sapa by old road with distance is about 350km from Hanoi to Laocai and then adding about 30km from Lao Cai city to Sapa.

Old road is called Highway No. 2 and Highway No. 70 with with the roadmap includes Hanoi Old Quarter - Hanoi airport - Vinh Yen city - Viet Tri city - Doan Hung intersection (Phu Tho Province) - Yen Bai city and Laocai city.
Total of time to move from Hanoi to Sapa on this way by bus or motorbike is about 7-8 hours.

But now, there is a new way which is called Noi Bai - Laocai Highway, it has shortened the distance and time from Hanoi to Sapa by half.

If you travel from Hanoi to Sapa on this highway, you just take three and a half hours to move. The distance from Hanoi to Lao Cai is about 245km and add 30km from Laocai city to Sapa town.
