The reasons many people do not know the gateway to Van Mieu temple of literature is because it is located between four streets, which is forming a long rectangle on the map of Hanoi.

Four streets include Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Ton Duc Thang street, Van Mieu street and Quoc Tu Giam street. In wich, Van Mieu and Quoc Tu Giam are two streets which are named by the name of this monument.

And the gateway to the temple of literature in Hanoi is located on Quoc Tu Giam street, faces south. Face south is one of architectural features of the historical and cultural relics in Hanoi and Vietnam.
If you move from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum or Vietnam Fine Art Museum to Van Mieu temple of literature, you can walk around and found the Quoc Tu Giam street. The gateway to the temple of literature is located here. - Hanoi weather
